What is the Ledger Declaration System?

Keeping the records of the self-employed, taxpayers who keep books on the basis of business accounts and those subject to simple procedure, to create and keep electronic books for those who keep books on the basis of self-employed and business account, tax returns, notification and petition, etc. It is a system that allows documents to be submitted electronically, to be issued electronically, and to share other information in the RA database of the taxpayers included in this scope with taxpayers. The ledger declaration system entered into force with the 486 Order Number VUK General Communiqué published on 17.12.2017.

1. How to Apply to the Ledger Declaration System?

The taxpayers who are obliged to use the ledger declaration system are required to make the relevant application until the last day of the previous month of the calendar year they will start using the system. Applications to the ledger declaration system can also be made online at www.defterbeyan.gov.tr ​​or to the affiliated tax office.

The taxpayers subject to the simple procedure can make their applications to the Ledger Declaration System with the persons listed below:

Professional chambers regulated in accordance with the "Brokerage and Liability Agreement on the Use of Book Declaration System" in the General Communiqué of the Tax Procedure Law,
A system application can be made by members of the profession, whose "Electronic Declaration Sending Intermediation and Liability Agreement" in the General Communiqué of the Tax Procedure Law has been signed.

2. Book Declaration System How to Fill in the Annual Income Tax Return?

In the ledger declaration system, we have listed what you need to do to create an income tax return. You have to do:

Login to the system,

From the menu in the left corner, click on the "accounting information" option and then on the menu labeled "account statement". On the page that will open, click on the link that says: Create by selecting the declaration period start and end date.

Check your records with the account statement created within the date range you specified and click the save link if it is correct.
From the same menu in the left corner, click on the "returns" option and then on the "annual income tax" option. In the section that will open, enter the requested information and click the "create declaration" link.
After the transaction is completed, check the information contained here by entering the "general information" section under the "Annual income tax return" section. After this point, you can enter your social security information and incentive information, if any. Once you have all the controls, you can click on the save option.

Your declaration creation process has been completed. You can now send the declaration to the relevant tax unit by clicking the "confirm and save" option.

How to Correction in Ledger Declaration System?

Taxpayers have the freedom to correct the mistakes they make while using the system or even cancel the process completely and re-do the transaction.
The necessary corrections should be made within a certain period of time. Accordingly, if the last day on which the VAT return should be submitted for the month in which the error is recorded, if the error is in the last month of the calendar year, this period can be made until the last day on which the income tax return of that year should be submitted.

3. How is the Price Difference Processed in the Ledger Declaration System?

After logging into the system, taxpayers who are taxed in a simple method can click on the "add income" option in the "accounting information" section on the left menu.
